Seis Cabos, which means six plies in Spanish, is the newest addition to the Malabrigo family. It is a handwash, pure Super Fine Merino Wool, containing 6 plies with a high twist that gives the yarn ample structure and flexibility. Seis Cabos is an incredibly versatile yarn that has great strength due to its plied construction.

The 6 plys creates a very round yarn which shows off textured stitches and cables nicely while maintaining the Malabrigo Merino softness. This same construction means that your garments and projects will stand the test of time.  Currently available in 26 of the beautiful, hand-dyed colors that we have come to expect from Malabrigo.

Fiber Content – 100% Superfine Merino Wool
    Weight – Light Worsted
    Gauge – 18 - 22 sts = 4" (10cm)
    Needle Size – US 6 - 8 / 4 - 5mm
    Hook Size – US I - K / 5.5 - 6.5mm
    Skein Weight – 3.5 oz / 100 grams
    Skein Yardage - 220 yards / 200 meters
Care – Handwash in cool water. Lay flat to dry.
    Country of Origin – Uruguay

Many colors do not have dye lots, and those that do, are dyed in lots of 10. Any project requiring more than 10 skeins will require more than one dye lot.

Note about Hand Dyed Yarns – While we love the exquisite colors available in hand dyed yarns, there can be significant variations from skein to skein. Please follow these guidelines to ensure success:

    • Purchase enough yarn to complete your project, allowing for a bit of overage, just in case!
    • Not all differences in skeins are obvious when comparing skeins.
    • For projects that require 2 or more skeins, we highly recommend blending your skeins by using 2 balls at once, alternating every couple of rows from each ball. This should blend any variations between skeins.
